FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our products, customization, and services.

I. Size & Specifications

Q1: How many leaves are in a booklet? Can the number of leaves be customized?
  • Standard in-stock: 32, 50, or 100 leaves per booklet.
  • Custom orders: We fully support custom leaf counts (e.g., anywhere from 1 to 100 leaves) for bulk orders based on your specific requirements.
Q2: Can the paper width and basis weight (GSM) be modified?

Yes. Our standard 15–17 GSM perfectly balances durability and taste. We also offer custom ultra-thin (10–14 GSM) and thicker (18–20 GSM) options. For non-standard length and width dimensions, custom molds can be created for large-volume orders.

II. Materials & Ingredients

Q3: What raw materials are available for the rolling papers, and what are the differences?

All of the following materials can be bound into booklets:

  • Wood Pulp: Cost-effective, tear-resistant, and ideal for beginners. Leaves a faint woody taste.
  • Hemp Pulp: Burns slowly and evenly, features an extremely mild taste, and holds ash well. A top choice in overseas markets.
  • Flax: Features fine, smooth fibers with minimal unwanted flavor. Perfect for premium product lines.
  • Rice: Ultra-thin and semi-transparent. It leaves almost no paper taste, maximizing the authentic tobacco flavor, though it is slightly more fragile.
  • Bamboo: An eco-friendly, budget-conscious alternative with a subtle herbal aroma.
Q4: How should I choose between bleached white paper and unbleached natural brown paper? Is there a safety difference?
  • Bleached Paper: Features a clean, bright white appearance with high mass-market acceptance.
  • Unbleached Natural Paper: Uses a chlorine-free process, leaving no extra taste when burned. Often preferred by health-conscious consumers in Europe and North America.
  • Safety Note: Both options utilize food-grade additives and are completely safe and compliant for combustion.

III. Gumline & Craftsmanship

Q6: What kind of glue is used on the papers? Is it safe? Will it unglue when wet?

We exclusively use 100% food-grade Arabic gum, which is completely non-toxic and safe. A light touch of moisture is all it takes for a secure seal, and it will not unravel during normal use. The gumline is exceptionally fine and even, preventing any excess glue from ruining your herbs.

Q7: What is the difference between horizontal ribbed, vertical ribbed, and smooth finishes?
  • Horizontal Ribbed: Ensures even airflow and prevents uneven burning. Highly resistant to wrinkling, making it the most popular choice, especially for beginners.
  • Vertical Ribbed: Offers enhanced tensile strength, making the paper harder to tear when pulled.
  • Smooth Finish: Almost zero interference from paper fibers, delivering a purer flavor. Recommended for advanced users.
Q8: Can the burn rate be customized? How is a slow-burning paper made?

Yes. We achieve a slow burn by lowering the paper's porosity (CU value). Materials like hemp and rice are naturally slow-burning, but we can also adjust the porosity via manufacturing techniques to ensure a consistent, complete burn without the paper going out mid-use.

IV. Packaging & Custom Branding

Q9: Can we print our own logo and brand designs on the booklet covers?

Absolutely. We offer fully customizable branding for both the inner and outer covers. Options include CMYK 4-color printing, single-color printing, hot foil stamping (gold/silver), matte/glossy lamination, and specialty paper covers.

Q10: How many booklets are in a master carton? Can the carton also be custom-branded?

Standard export packaging consists of 32 leaves/booklet, 50 booklets/display box, and 40 boxes/master carton. Yes, we can print your logo, barcodes, and origin information on both the export cartons and the inner display boxes.

Q11: Do you offer combo packs? (e.g., rolling papers + filter tips packaged together?)

Yes, combo packaging is highly supported! We can package rolling paper booklets together with individual filter tips or paper tubes inside a single color box. This creates a one-stop, retail-ready product.

Q12: What is the purpose of laminating the cover?

Matte or glossy lamination makes the cover water-resistant and oil-proof. It protects the booklet from friction and wear when carried in pockets and prevents the cover colors from fading during long-term storage.

V. MOQ, Samples & Shipping

Q13: What is the Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) for unbranded stock booklets vs. custom logo orders?
  • Unbranded Stock: Available in very small batches for immediate dispatch.
  • Custom Branded: Subject to standard MOQ requirements. Specifics will be calculated based on your exact sizing and material requirements.
Q14: Can you send free samples? How soon are they dispatched?

Sample arrangements are communicated on a case-by-case basis depending on your actual needs. Please contact our sales team for details.

Q15: What is the lead time for custom logo production? What shipping/Incoterms do you support?

Standard custom printing production takes about 30 working days. We commonly support FOB terms, but other shipping and customs clearance services can be arranged upon discussion.

VI. Usage & Storage Guide

Q16: Will the papers inside the booklet stick together or be hard to pull out?

Not at all. Every leaf undergoes a separation process at the factory, ensuring smooth dispensing. They will not stick together, and you can easily pull out a single leaf with one hand.

Q17: Is the booklet portable? Will it easily bend or lose its shape?

It is extremely portable. Designed to a standard card size, it fits perfectly in cigarette cases, pants pockets, or small everyday bags. The laminated hard cover provides excellent crush resistance, preventing it from bending or breaking.

Q18: Can the papers still be used if they get damp? How should they be stored?

Moisture can compromise the gumline and cause the paper to burn slowly or go out. We highly recommend storing the booklets in a dry, dark place and using them soon after opening. For bulk inventory, keep them sealed in master cartons in a climate-controlled warehouse.

VII. After-Sales & Compliance

Q19: How do you handle defects like uneven cutting, misaligned gumlines, or binding errors?

We conduct 100% full inspections before shipping, keeping defect rates extremely low. If you find a small number of defective items, we provide free replacements of equal value. For any large-scale issues, we will negotiate restocks or apply corresponding discounts.

Q20: Can you provide export customs documentation and testing reports?

Yes. We provide full packing lists, commercial invoices, and customs declaration documents. We can also supply food-grade certification for the gum and material testing reports for the paper fibers to ensure smooth import clearance across multiple countries.
